10 Years A Writer
I think the one thing we don’t give much thought to is.. PRECIOUS TIME. I say precious time. Because I am not thinking of the time it takes us to get ready for work, get kids off to school or any of those sorts of times, but the actual time, this moment, right here, right now, is all the time we have. Seriously, no one knows to an absolute moment when their last breath will be taken or exactly how much time we really do have to forgive, to live, to laugh, to count our blessings. Usually it is someone else or something else that reminds us, of precious time. Whether that be a passing of a good friend or loved one, how we avoided an accident by arriving 30 seconds later than sooner at that intersection or something as simple as an anniversary. I was just reminded of one of those..it will be 10 years this April that I have been writing, some way, some how and I don’t know where those 10 years went, for they did fly by. But when I think of how much I did and do enjoy all the years I have done some sort of writing, I wouldn’t have changed a thing for the world.
My writing was my saving grace, when I was at my lowest. Through my writing I have made so many great friends from one end of this world to the other.
Time and time again, I have said, doing something that you love, creating, using your mind body and soul, is a passion, that is unique to you as a person. And a passion brings serenity to your being.
I guess that is why they say, “When you do what you love, you don’t work a day in your life.”
There is nothing and no one who can stop you from living your dream, creating your passion, not one soul can stop you, well that’s a lie, there is one… you.
